    Porcelain teapot and cover, printed and painted in underglaze and overglaze colours.with pattern of purple scrolls forming compartments from which spring small gilt leaves on red stems.

    Royal arms encircled by 'VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM' / 'Venice' and 'FINE PORCELAIN ©1985 FRANKLIN MINT', all within a laurel wreath.

  • Object history note

    This is one of a set of teapots (C.10 to 22-1990) reproduced by the Franklin Mint after examples in the V&A's collections and marketed as the Victoria and Albert Museum Porcelain Teapot Collection. This teapot is copied from a Venetian teapot (Cozzi factory) of about 1771, C.136-1940.
