Kin Ho is a photographer working principally with fashion, portraiture and advertising. This photograph of Stephen Jones was commissioned by the Hong Kong edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine for publication in the summer of 1996. The portrait depicts Jones’s profile neatly framed by the heads of mannequins. This is the first work by Kin Ho to be acquired for the Collection, and adds to the holdings of contemporary fashion photography.

Stephen Jones is a leading milliner. Having opened his first shop in Covent Garden in 1980, he became central to the revival of British millinery in the 1980s. More recently he has collaborated with the V&A on the production of the exhibition Hats: An Anthology, and several of his works are held in the FTF collections.
