Brief description
Silver, Germany, 2002, designed and made by Rudolf Bott.
Physical description
Carafe, silver of tall, cylindrical form, the diameter reduces at the halfway point, the upper half with a spreading foot to join the lower half; the upper half roughly finished, the hammer marks very much in evidence, the lower half smootly finished, the vessel has an overall matt surface. The circular base soldered to the wall, inset from the lower rim.

Three marks, stamped in a line in the centre of the underside of the base; 925 (the European mark for sterling silver), the maker's mark for Rudolf Bott

Purchased from the Galerie Rose Marie Jager at the COLLECT exhibition, organised by the Crafts Council and held at the Victoria and Albert Museum, 12/01/2005 - 17/01/2005.
