    It is unclear if this box is contemporary with the associated ring, which was made in Rajasthan, India c. 1850.

  • Physical description

    A round ring box with a hinged, domed lid. Fashioned in brown leather with yellow metal hinge and swivel latch. The interior is fitted with black and deep purple "velvet" in the base and the lid is lined with a pale beige woven fabric.
