Entitled 'Sailors' Widows' [Veuve des Marins] this plaquette shows on one side a sailor's wife looking out to sea as a ship founders in the distance and on the other groups of widows making their way to church.
Georges Henri Prud'homme (1873-1947) - medallist and sculptor - was a pupil of Alexandre Falguière and Alpheé Dubois. He was arwarded Legion of Honour in 1923.
