Dish, fritware, polychrome painted with saz leaves and other flowers, Turkey (Iznik), ca. 1560
Physical description
Dish of fritware, deep, with foliated rim, painted in blue, purple and red on a white ground, with a symmetrical design, composed of overlapping leaves and flowers. The border is decorated with a pattern of spirals, and the back is ornamented with flwoers and sprays.
